The Medical Biller will be responsible for accurately coding and billing medical claims, ensuring timely reimbursement, and maintaining accurate patient records.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical billing systems, coding, and terminology.
Responsibilities - Review and verify patient information for accuracy and completeness - Assign appropriate medical codes (ICD-10, ICD-9) to diagnoses and procedures - Prepare and submit electronic or paper claims to insurance companies - Follow up on unpaid claims and denials, and resubmit claims as necessary - Process payments from insurance companies and patients - Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records - Collaborate with medical office staff to ensure accurate billing and coding practices - Provide exceptional customer service to patients regarding billing inquiries Experience The ideal candidate for this position will have:
