Gibbsboro, NJ Gibbsboro, NJ Full-time Full-time $50,000 - $55,000 a year $50,000 - $55,000 a year 17 hours ago 17 hours ago 17 hours ago We are actively seeking an HR Generalist; the HR Generalist performs payroll & HR-related functions, including payroll processing, payroll tax compliance, automated timekeeping systems, and payroll reporting in a multi-site, multi-state, high-volume environment (700+).
Responsibilities:
Process payroll for multiple companies with diverse administrative needs, 600
employees.
Ensure Payroll is processed timely & accurately in compliance with federal and multi-state laws.
Coordinate and administer employee benefits programs, including enrollment, communication, eligibility, billing, and employee deduction reconciliation.
Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related issues.
Assist with onboarding processes, including orientation, training, and employee document management.
Monitor timecards/PTO requests for completion in accordance with company policy.
Process and monitor garnishment orders.
Maintain accurate employee records regarding pay rates, shift details, promotions, transfers, leaves of absence, etc.
Dispense payroll checks and process electronic deposits, W-2 forms and reports, payroll registers, etc.
Understand proper taxation of all payroll matters Oversee end of year items such as W2 processing/distribution, ACA, OSHA reports and EEOC Reports.
Facilitate preparation of management reports, including weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports Respond professionally and timely to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues or concerns Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Effective spoken and written (English) communication skills, including composition and presentation skills.
Decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical skills Strong organization skills and attention to detail Rigidly attentive to detail to ensure the highest level of quality and accuracy in reports and data analysis Assertive, ability to work independently, as well as part of a team Personal attributes must include the highest level of energy, enthusiasm and ethics, the ability to maintain an entrepreneurial and hands on approach and the ability to work with a diverse group of senior managers Ability to use PC and widely used software packages (Microsoft 365 - Strong with Excel is a plus, as well as Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) Experience with Payroll programs Experience in retail industry preferred WORK ENVIRONMENT Work takes place in person in a office setting.
